Medical Receptionist - Yeppoon or Emu Park

We are seeking dynamic Medical Receptionists to become an integral part of our busy general practices in Yeppoon and Emu Park. As the first point of contact for our valued patients, you'll play a crucial role in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Your attention to detail, efficient admin support, and can-do attitude will contribute to the seamless operation of our practice and support our doctors in delivering the ultimate care to our community.

We are seeking applicants looking for part-time (3 days per week minimum) up to a full time position (9 day fortnight). This exciting opportunity is also open to junior candidates who possess the right attributes and a strong desire to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients with a warm and friendly manner, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they walk in.

• Manage incoming phone calls and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, directing calls and messages efficiently.

• Schedule appointments, manage payments and maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.

• Prioritise and handle administrative tasks to a high standard according to practice procedures.

• Work closely with the practice team to ensure smooth operations and seek ways to improve our processes and deliver exceptional patient care and admin support.

Requirements

• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable personality.

• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail, time management and organisational abilities.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.

• Positive can-do attitude and willingness to embrace new technology and skills.

• Availability to work at minimum 3 days per week (up to full time hours may be available)

• Previous experience in a medical environment is a plus, but not mandatory
