Boston Security Services is a Western Sydney-based leading security systems provider with more than 30 years of industry experience. We provide security, electrical and communications solutions to NSW Government and Department of Education sites, as well as a growing portfolio of commercial clients.

With established government contracts and a strong pipeline of commercial projects, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Security & Data Technician to join our team.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out security installations and project works across a range of commercial and government sites.

Our core business is electronic security, including:

• Access Control

• Intrusion Detection & Alarm Systems

• CCTV / IP Video Surveillance

• Intercom Systems

• Data & Communications Cabling

• Networked Security Systems

• System Integration

You will work with a range of leading security platforms, with strong experience in Inner Range Concept, Integriti and Tecom Challenger highly regarded.

You will be expected to complete assigned works efficiently, professionally and to a high standard, while maintaining excellent relationships with customers, builders, site managers and other contractors.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience in the security industry

• Current NSW Security Licence

• Current Cabling Registration

• Current White Card

• Working With Children check.

• National Police check.

• Strong commercial security industry experience

• Proven experience installing, commissioning and maintaining electronic security systems

Technical Experience

Strong experience in the following areas is required:

• Inner Range Concept & Integriti

• Tecom Challenger

• Access Control, door controllers and card readers

• CCTV systems – analogue and IP

• Intercom systems – 2-wire and IP

• LAN, TCP/IP and wireless networks

• Security system commissioning and fault finding

• Windows and Linux operating systems

• Microsoft Office

Experience with additional security platforms and integrated systems will be highly regarded.
