Senior Forensic Accountant
Let’s talk about the opportunityThe purpose of this role is to apply forensic accounting and financial investigation expertise in the investigation of allegations of corrupt conduct in performance of the Commission’s principal functions.
The position sits within the Financial Investigation Unit at the NSW ICAC. You will have the opportunity to work within multi-disciplinary teams to investigate allegations of serious corrupt conduct and systemic corrupt conduct through financial analysis while being provided development opportunities to become an expert in the field.
This is a permanent, full-time position.
Annual salary is $155,959 to $173,476, including employer’s contribution to superannuation (currently 12%) plus annual leave loading (currently 17.5%).

Essential requirementsCandidates will be assessed against the following requirements:Relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting or Business. Current membership with Chartered Accountants ANZ and/or CPA Australia is highly desirable.Demonstrated experience and sound knowledge of financial accounting practices and procedures, including financial reporting systems, and accounting and auditing standards.Sound knowledge of forensic accounting services in accordance with APES 215, with demonstrated report writing and interpretation of financial information.Strong problem solving and financial analytical skills to advance objectives within a multidisciplinary team.Well-developed written and verbal skills to communicate effectively with people of diverse background, occupation, and seniority, both internal and external to the Commission.Experience in providing forensic accounting expertise and advice in an investigative or law enforcement environment is highly desirable but not essential. Those from a forensic accounting, auditing or financial accounting background are encouraged to apply.Employment is contingent upon the successful candidate having the ability to obtain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) clearance at Baseline level.
