The Role
You will support the Chief Corporate & Governance Officer across discrete governance and legal workstreams and projects.
Prepare board and Governance and Risk Committee papersLead and support governance projects and policy implementation underway at the LeagueSupport the company secretarial function across NBL Group entities: resolutions, minutes and agendasSupport corporate structuring matters across the NBL GroupDraft and negotiate commercial agreements with confidenceTurn around legal research and advice at pace
Based in Cremorne, 3 to 4 days a week, for an immediate start.
Who We're Looking For
You take carriage of what is in front of you. You know when something needs to go straight to the CCGO and when you can simply get on with it.
Admitted Australian legal practitioner, 5 to 8 years PQEStrong grounding in corporate governance and complianceExperience running or supporting litigation and tribunal mattersConfident drafting board papers, policies and resolutionsComfortable negotiating commercial agreements end to end
And the non-negotiables - you bring the same care to a board resolution as you do to a settlement letter, discretion and confidentiality are second nature to you, and you are comfortable with priorities shifting as the term progresses.
