About the role
Provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants across SIL, in-home, community, respite and social supports.
Assist with personal care, daily living activities and household tasks.
Support participants with manual handling and transfers using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Provide support with complex care needs in line with individual support plans and training.
Support participants with Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and positive behaviour strategies.
Support medication administration in accordance with training and organisational procedures.
Assist with meal preparation, nutrition and maintaining a safe home environment.
Support community access, appointments, social activities and recreational programs.
Encourage independence, choice, dignity and participation.
Complete progress notes, incident reports and other required documentation.
Follow NDIS Practice Standards, participant support plans, policies and workplace procedures.
Work collaboratively with participants, families, coordinators and other support professionals.
