About the role
Greater Northern Community Services is seeking a dedicated NDIS Operations & Intake Coordinator to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Broadmeadows, VIC 3047, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disability and their families. The role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations across our NDIS service delivery, managing intake processes, and providing exceptional support to participants and stakeholders. You will be at the heart of our operations, creating a welcoming and efficient experience for those accessing our services.
Key responsibilities
Managing the intake and onboarding process for NDIS participants, ensuring accurate information capture and smooth transitions into our services
Coordinating operational activities across NDIS service delivery programmes to ensure compliance with NDIS requirements and quality standards
Processing participant referrals, assessments, and documentation with accuracy and attention to detail
Liaising with NDIS participants, families, carers, and external stakeholders to support service access and continuity
Maintaining confidential and organised records, including participant files and operational documentation
Assisting with scheduling and coordination of service delivery to optimise resource allocation
Supporting the resolution of participant enquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
Collaborating with team members and management to improve operational processes and participant outcomes
Ensuring compliance with NDIS legislation, regulations, and Greater Northern Community Services policies and procedures
What we're looking for
Demonstrated experience in intake coordination, operations management, or customer service within a community services or disability support environment
Knowledge of the NDIS framework, participant eligibility criteria, and service delivery requirements
Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders
Proficiency in using computer systems and databases, including Microsoft Office, Shiftcare, Docusign, etc
A compassionate and person-centred approach to supporting people with disability and their families
High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and record-keeping
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Current Working with Children Check and Working with Disability Clearance (or willingness to obtain these)
Relevant qualifications in community services, disability support, administration, or a related field (preferred)
Experience with NDIS planning, funding, and participant management systems (desirable)
