Switching Operator

The Role
The Switching Operator’s role is to perform Switching Operations on the Western Power Network including transmission, distribution & substation works. You will be working as part of the Genus team across the Network. Duties will include:

• Perform HV & LV switching operations on the Western Power Network.
• Prepare and execute switching programs.
• Coordinate planned and unplanned outages with relevant stakeholders to optimize scheduling and minimise project delays.
• Uphold safety, quality, and compliance standards across all field operations.

Essential Requirements/Skills/Qualifications

• Cert III in ESI - Distribution Overhead, Cable Jointing or a WA Electrical License.
• Western Power switching authorisations.
• High Voltage Distribution Switching (HOU) & Low Voltage Distribution Switching (LOU) qualifications.
• ENAR writing (ENAR).
• Scoping of Network and writing LV Switching Programme.
• Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Work Health & Safety.
• Valid C Class Driver’s Licence.
