Fleet Controller

Followmont Transport is seeking an experienced Fleet Controller to join our Sydney team. This hands-on operational role is responsible for coordinating drivers, fleet and resources to ensure safe, efficient and reliable service delivery across our network.

Working in a fast-paced transport environment, you'll oversee daily operations, manage schedules, monitor compliance requirements and support our drivers to achieve exceptional customer outcomes.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate drivers, fleet and resources to ensure smooth daily operations

• Manage schedules, route planning and resource allocation

• Monitor operational KPI's, costs and performance using Excel and reporting tools

• Maintain compliance with transport regulations, safety requirements and company procedures

• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including RF scanning and pallet control processes

• Lead by example and promote a culture of accountability, safety and service excellence

About You

• Previous experience in transport, logistics or fleet operations

• Strong working knowledge of Excel and reporting tools

• Excellent planning, time management and problem-solving skills

• Understanding of transport compliance, Chain of Responsibility and operational requirements

• Knowledge of dangerous goods segregation and equipment configurations highly regarded

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Good understanding of the Sydney and NSW transport network
