About the role
The Company
LAI Group is one of Australia’s largest switchboards and switchrooms manufacturers. With over 115 years of combined experience, we are a leader in the design and manufacture of custom switchboards and switchrooms in Australia.
As a result of continuous national growth, LAI Group is seeking a Civil Construction Labourer to join our team at our manufacturing plant in Adelaide (Ferryden park) within our Civil department. We would like team members who are excited about the opportunity to build a stable, rewarding, and lucrative career with us.
Schedule
Full Time and Casual positions available
A 38-hour week (Monday – Friday + reasonable overtime).
Wage (Negotiable - Experience, knowledge, and ability will be taken into consideration).
The Position
This role is hands-on and requires someone with a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. The successful candidate will work closely with civil department to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out general manual labour using hand tools across civil sites
Support site preparation, backfilling, trenching and general site clean-up
Assist operators, tradespeople and supervisors with day-to-day tasks
Operate machinery where required
Maintain a safe, tidy work site in line with WHS requirements and site protocols
The Candidate
We are looking for a motivated and physically capable team member who is comfortable with sustained manual labour and committed to getting the job done safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will also have:
White Card (Construction Induction Card)
Current driver's licence
Desired Competencies
Machinery tickets (excavator, skid steer, roller, etc.) - desirable, not essential
HR Licence - desirable, not essential
