About the role
The roads don't manage themselves. That's where you come in.
Lead the projects that keep QLD moving. RoadTek Brisbane Operations is looking for a Project Manager to drive the delivery of Road Maintenance Contract programs and minor works projects across one of the state's busiest transport networks. If you're a natural leader who enjoys balancing people, budgets, clients and construction delivery, this is your opportunity to take ownership of meaningful infrastructure projects and see the results of your work in the communities you serve every day.
Deliver projects that matter. Lead people who make a difference.
Every day, thousands of Queenslanders rely on the road network to get where they need to go. Behind every safe journey, freight delivery and community connection is a team of professionals working together to maintain and improve critical infrastructure.
As a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for managing projects from concept through to completion, balancing competing priorities while ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget. You'll work closely with customers, contractors, technical specialists and operational crews to plan, coordinate and deliver maintenance and construction activities that keep Queensland moving.
What you'll be accountable for;
• Deliver Road Maintenance Contract programs and minor works projects from concept to completion.
• Manage project performance across budget, schedule, quality, safety and risk.
• Prepare estimates, tenders and project proposals that support successful delivery outcomes.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and maintain a customer-focused approach.
• Lead project teams, drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with operational requirements.
Why join RoadTek?
RoadTek is a commercial business within the Department of Transport and Main Roads and one of Queensland's largest delivery providers of transport infrastructure solutions. Our people work on projects that improve the safety, reliability and efficiency of the state's road network.
When you join RoadTek, you'll be joining a team that values accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced professionals, develop your leadership capability and contribute to projects that leave a lasting legacy for Queensland communities.
We also offer a range of benefits that support your career, wellbeing and work-life balance, including:
• Flexible work arrangements and rostered day off options.
• Career development and training opportunities.
• Annual pay progression.
• Study and research assistance.
• Health and wellbeing initiatives.
• Employee Assistance Program support for employees and their families.
• Paid parental leave and generous employment conditions.
• Potential overtime opportunities and applicable allowances.
Who you are?
You're a practical and proactive leader who thrives in an operational environment. You can balance competing priorities, build strong stakeholder relationships and keep programs moving, even when faced with changing circumstances.
You lead by example, support your team to perform at their best and take ownership of delivering results. With experience managing road maintenance, asset maintenance, operational contracts or similar service delivery programs, you understand the importance of safety, quality, value for money and customer outcomes. Most importantly, you take pride in delivering work that helps keep Queensland's roads safe, reliable and connected.
Ready to lead projects that keep Queensland moving? Apply now and help shape the future of transport infrastructure across Brisbane and beyond.
Applications will remain current for 12 months.
