Sleep Scorer / Polysomnographic Technologist
Location: Ormeau, QLD (Preferred) | Remote available Australia-wide for suitable candidates
Work Type: Part-Time (19 hours/week)
Air Liquide Healthcare Australia is looking for a skilled Sleep Scorer to join our dedicated clinical team. Whether you are based locally near our Ormeau office or looking to work remotely from anywhere in Australia, we want to hear from you.
This role is ideal for experienced Sleep Technologists, RPSGTs, or Respiratory/Sleep Clinic professionals looking to focus on high-quality polysomnographic analysis and reporting.
About the RoleYou will access digitally-secure electronic facilities to score and analyze sleep study data. Key responsibilities include:
Scoring & Analysis: Assign wake and sleep-stages, highlight EEG arousals, mark abnormal respiratory events, mark abnormal limb movements, and identify oxygen saturation perturbations in accordance with AASM criteria and MAB directives. Identify abnormal ECG rhythms and other polysomnographic phenomena where appropriate.
Study Types: Work across diagnostic and positive airway pressure titration polysomnography, Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLTs), Maintenance of Wakefulness Tests (MWTs), parasomnia studies, oxygen-titration studies, and prolonged electroencephalography (PEEG) when performed overnight in parallel with full PSG.
Reporting: Prepare and proof-read draft sleep study reports for Sleep Physicians. Address patient primary sleep-complaints, sleep-history, and referring doctor concerns. Process reports via the digital Coreplus server and handle reverted studies prior to resubmission.
Quality & Collaboration: Assess physiologic calibrations, participate in QSleep concordance programs, assist with systems testing and template editing, and support day-to-day operations.
Certification & Background: RPSGT certification or similar. Tertiary qualifications in Science and 12+ months experience as an overnight sleep-study assistant are advantageous/preferred.
Technical Skills: Computer literacy and ability to use Remlogic, Philips Sleepware G3, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and appropriate software.
Key Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously.
Flexible Work: Option to work 100% remotely from anywhere in Australia or hybrid/onsite in Ormeau.
