About the role

The Corporate Window Film Company is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team on a full-time basis at our Rowville, VIC location. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations for window film and signage projects of varying complexity. This position is essential to our business operations, directly impacting project profitability, client satisfaction, and our competitive positioning in the market. You will work closely with our sales, project management, and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and quotations for window film and sigange installation projects based on specifications, scope of work, and client requirements

• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation to determine material quantities and labour requirements

• Maintain current knowledge of material costs, labour rates, and market pricing to ensure competitive and accurate estimates

• Liaise with clients, sales representatives, and project managers to clarify project scope and resolve any estimation queries

• Track and analyse historical project data to improve estimating accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities

• Prepare tender submissions and proposal documents that clearly communicate project scope and pricing

• Maintain detailed records of all estimates and quotations for quality assurance and audit purposes

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the estimating function

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as an estimator within the construction industry, ideally with experience in window film, glazing, signage or related trades

• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, labour costs, and project management principles

• Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel for cost analysis and calculations

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and architectural documentation

• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all estimates and quotations

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to work with complex cost calculations

• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external clients

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

• Relevant qualifications in construction, estimating, or a related discipline (desirable)

• Knowledge of Australian construction standards and building codes
