We are currently seeking Sample Preparers as well as Entry-Level Sample Preparers to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility in Maddington, WA. If you have previous experience in sample preparation, laboratory processing, or a similar role, we want to hear from you! 

EMPLOYMENT TYPES & ROSTERS (must be able to work rotating shifts)

• Full-Time Permanent: Monday to Friday rotating roster (morning, afternoon, and night shifts).

• Full-Time Seasonal/Casual: Availability for weekday shifts, Monday to Friday is required. 

• Competitive rates + Shift loadings

• Opportunity to progress to 7 on 7 off roster in 3-6 months for interested, strong performers.
   

Fully funded laboratory traineeships available for eligible applicants!
 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Sample Preparers play a crucial role in preparing mineral samples for laboratory analysis by operating machinery that crushes, splits, and pulverises raw samples. We are especially looking for experienced Sample Preparers who can hit the ground running, but we also welcome candidates with a labouring, production, or FIFO utilities background who are eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Sorting, weighing, and drying samples
✅ Operating mills, splitters, and crushers
✅ Bagging samples for analysis
✅ Adhering to strict safety, production, and quality standards

This role requires working in a dusty environment and adapting to varying environmental temperatures. Employee must wear PPE and health monitoring assessments are mandatory for all employees.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Experience in Sample Preparation is highly desirable. Candidates with labouring, production, processing, or utilities experience are also encouraged to apply

• Ability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting 15-20kg regularly.

• Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to workplace safety.

• Reliable transportation to and from Maddington.

• ‘Can do’ attitude 

• Able to work shift work (6am -2pm, 10pm - 6am, 2pm - 10pm)

• Up to date NPC
