8FISH PTY LTD KHAO PLA - MACQUARIE is seeking an experienced Cook to join our team in Macquarie Park NSW. The role involves preparing and cooking quality dishes, supporting daily kitchen operations, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, and working closely with chefs and management to deliver a positive dining experience. Applicants should have relevant commercial cookery qualifications, strong cooking skills and experience in a fast-paced and quality-driven kitchen environment.

Assist with daily kitchen preparation, production and service.

Follow recipes, portion control and plating standards to maintain consistency. Check food quality, freshness and presentation before service. Assist with ordering, receiving, storing and rotating food supplies.

Support stock control, portion control and waste management procedures. Monitor food supply levels and notify management when additional stock is required. Ensure all food is cooked correctly, served on time and presented professionally.

Use kitchen equipment, appliances, utensils and supplies safely and effectively. Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment. Complete temperature checks, cleaning charts and food freshness checks as required.

Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements. Work cooperatively with chefs, cooks and front-of-house staff. Support smooth and efficient food preparation during busy service periods.

Qualification & experience Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or a related discipline is required, plus at least 1 year of relevant experience will be considered. Passionate about cooking and delivering high-quality food. Punctual, reliable and hard-working.

Enthusiastic and willing to learn. Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure during busy service periods. Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
