Role Description The NDIS SIL Manager is a full-time role responsible for overseeing Supported Independent Living services and ensuring high-quality, person-centered support for NDIS participants. This hybrid role is based in Strathfield NSW and nearby suburbs, with the flexibility to complete some duties from home. Day-to-day tasks include managing SIL operations, coordinating rosters, supervising support workers, and ensuring compliance with NDIS standards and organisational policies. The NDIS SIL Manager will engage with participants and their families, develop and review support plans, monitor service delivery, and respond to incident reports and feedback. The role also involves collaborating with external stakeholders, maintaining accurate documentation, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to a positive, culturally safe team environment.
QualificationsSound knowledge of NDIS and SIL frameworks, including compliance requirements, service standards, and participant safeguarding.Experience in disability, community, or human services management, with demonstrated capability in supervising staff and coordinating care.Strong skills in relationship building with participants, families, support workers, and external stakeholders, with a focus on culturally sensitive communication.Proficiency in documentation, case management, and use of relevant digital tools and systems to manage rosters, reports, and participant records.Ability to analyse service performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement practical solutions to enhance participant outcomes.Relevant tertiary qualification in disability, social work, community services, health, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Current driver’s licence, valid working rights in Australia, and any required clearances (e.g., NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check).Commitment to person-centered practice, cultural safety, and inclusive support for people from diverse backgrounds.
