We're currently seeking a friendly, motivated, and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our GMHBA Dental Care team at our Geelong Health Hub, in a permanent part-time role working 32 hours per week.

About the Role

As a Dental Assistant, you'll play a vital role in delivering outstanding patient care and supporting our clinicians to provide high-quality dental services. You'll work closely with our dental team to ensure patients have a positive and comfortable experience from the moment they arrive.



Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures
• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
• Assisting with digital radiography (X-rays)
• Maintaining accurate patient records and confidentiality
• Sterilisation and maintenance of instruments and equipment
• Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and restocking surgeries
• Supporting reception functions including appointments, enquiries, and payments
• Assisting with laboratory work and clinical administration
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff

About You

You are a proactive team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service.



Ideally, you'll bring:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, patient-centred approach
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• The ability to work collaboratively within a clinical team
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient care

Desirable Qualifications

• Certificate III or Certificate IV in Dental Assisting, or
• Relevant on-the-job dental assisting experience
