Coordinator - Volunteer Engagement

• Lead volunteer programs that protect rights and support people across Victoria.
• Guide a small team and support about 700 volunteers.
• Help shape how volunteers are recruited, trained and supported.

• Ongoing full-time role earning $116,413 - $140,849 per year, plus super.

What you will do

As coordinator, volunteer engagement, you will lead volunteer programs across Victoria. You will guide staff and support about 700 volunteers across three programs.

You will:

• lead strong volunteer recruitment, selection, training, support and monitoring processes.
• provide clear advice, guidance and training to volunteers and staff.
• support effective volunteer events, surveys, records, policies and appointment processes.
• lead a small team and support staff performance, learning and development.
• resolve complex issues and help improve volunteer programs under tight timeframes.

About you

No qualification is mandatory for this role. Extensive experience as a volunteer coordinator or manager is highly desirable. A relevant tertiary qualification in social science or a related field is also desirable.

You should also have:

• strong knowledge of Victoria's disability and mental health sectors.
• extensive experience working with volunteers and applying relevant standards and legislation.
• clear communication skills to handle sensitive issues and build trusted working relationships.
• people leadership skills to guide staff, manage projects and improve services.
