Service & Maintenance Carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance of residential and commercial air-conditioning systems.

Service and clean ducted reverse-cycle systems. Service and clean wall split systems. Service and maintain evaporative air-conditioning systems.

Inspect indoor and outdoor units for faults, wear, damage and general condition. Clean filters, coils, fan barrels, outdoor coils and other components as required. Check system operation, temperatures, pressures, electrical components and general performance.

Identify potential problems and provide recommendations to management and customers where appropriate. Complete service reports accurately and in a timely manner. B. Fault Finding & Diagnostics Diagnose air-conditioning and refrigeration faults accurately and efficiently.

Investigate electrical, mechanical, refrigeration and control-system faults. Identify faulty components and determine appropriate repair or replacement options. Use appropriate test equipment and diagnostic procedures.

Record fault findings clearly and accurately. Communicate technical findings to management and customers in a professional and easy-to-understand manner. Escalate major or unusual faults to management where required.

C. Repairs Carry out repairs to air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment, including where appropriately qualified and authorised: Indoor and outdoor fan motors. Printed circuit boards and control components. Sensors and thermistors.

Compressors and associated components. Refrigeration pipework. Electrical components.

Controllers and thermostats. Louvre motors and mechanisms. Condensate pumps and drainage systems.

Refrigerant leaks and associated repairs. Ducting and airflow-related issues. Zoning and air-conditioning control systems.

D. Installation Work Ducted reverse-cycle systems. Wall split systems.

Evaporative cooling systems. Indoor and outdoor unit installation. Refrigeration pipework.

Electrical and control wiring within the employee's qualifications and authorisations. Condensate drainage. Ductwork and air distribution components.

Zone control systems. Controllers and associated accessories. Commissioning and testing of newly installed systems.

E. Refrigeration Responsibilities Diagnose refrigeration system faults. Check refrigeration pressures and operating conditions. Identify and repair refrigerant leaks.

Recover, evacuate and charge refrigeration systems as appropriately licensed. Replace refrigeration components. Carry out commissioning and performance testing.

Maintain accurate records relating to refrigerant handling. Comply with all applicable refrigerant handling and environmental requirements. Qualification & experience Refrigerant handling licence.

Relevant refrigeration and air-conditioning trade qualification. Electrical licence/authorisation where applicable. Working at Heights training.

White Card. Asbestos awareness training. EWP or other relevant equipment licences.
