Senior Social Worker, Sydney Youth Cancer Service

About the role
The Sydney Youth Cancer Service (YCS) is seeking an experienced Senior Social Workers to join our specialist multidisciplinary team at Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick. The Sydney YCS provides specialist cancer care and psychosocial support to adolescents and young adults (AYAs) aged 15 - 25 years with cancer.
Working as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist social work services to young adults and their support networks across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will undertake comprehensive psychosocial assessments, develop and implement care plans, and support young people to navigate the complexity of a cancer diagnosis.
As a senior member of the team, you will play an active leadership role within the AYA Psychosocial Multidisciplinary Team and work collaboratively with a wide range of key stakeholders including the Sydney Children's Hospital at Randwick.
You will also have the opportunity to co-facilitates the NSW/ACT Youth Advisory Group (YAG) in collaboration with the Service Manager. The YAG provides a platform for young people to influence service development and support the delivery of youth friendly cancer care.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine advanced clinical practice, leadership, service development and consumer engagement in a highly specialised and rewarding area of healthcare.
