About Us
CEA is an Australian Commonwealth company that designs, develops, manufactures and sustains advanced active phased array radar systems. The company’s design principles and commitment to investment in research and development ensures innovative thinking, technological skill, and quality fabrication. Our programs include the ANZAC and Hunter Class frigates and air defence applications for Army and Air Force, and Range applications.
Through our longstanding and ongoing collaboration with Defence, CEA Technologies has undertaken research and development into all aspects of active electronically scanned array technologies. This has resulted in the creation of a highly modular and scalable product suite, which have become integral to a wide range of critical Defence capabilities.
The Position
You will provide production support to the Quality Supervisor and shift supervisors. Tasks may include: loading CNC Machines, metal finishing, inwards goods receipts, and maintenance and swarf management.
Shift Time
Morning: 6:15 am – 2:21pm
Afternoon: 2pm - 10:07pm
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the CNC Supervisor and Melbourne Production Manager to maintain production flow.
Loading Horizontal and Vertical Machine Centres.
Periodic part inspections in accordance with inspection plan on work order.
Recording production quantities on work orders for the Horizontal Machine centres.
Unloading / loading trucks.
Quality inspection.
Perform other factory duties as required.
Assisting with maintenance activities in accordance with Maintenance Schedule.

Our Ideal Candidate:
Demonstrated sound data entry skills and good attention to detail.
Competent in use of Microsoft applications including Excel/Word at an Intermediate level.
Sound written and verbal communication skills to manage and address Purchasing enquiries.
Ability to multi task and prioritise workloads to achieve required outcomes.
Self-motivated to work autonomously or within a team.
Physical capacity to participate in moderate manual handling, including use of pallet jack.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing organisational priorities and ambiguous environments.
Eligibility
An Australian Citizen;
Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance –Baseline
