About the role:

Juniper Guwardi Ngadu, is seeking a Personal Care and Activities Assistant (PCAA) to join our supportive residential aged care team and help deliver meaningful, person-centred care to our residents.

Guwardi Ngadu is a small facility with 12 newly renovated shared rooms all with ensuites providing Individualised support through our person-centred care approach to our residents.

Located in the heart of Fitzroy Crossing, Juniper Guwardi Ngadu has an amazing outdoor spaces hold a special significance. The home provides individually tailored and culturally appropriate care, with dining and living spaces thoughtfully designed outside, so residents can enjoy close connection to country.

In this role, you will support residents with their daily living needs, social engagement, and overall wellbeing, combining personal care with meaningful activities that enhance quality of life. You will help create a welcoming and supportive environment where residents feel valued, respected, and able to live with dignity and purpose.

This role is ideal for someone who with previous Activities Assistant or Lifestyle Assistant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and meal assistance
• Support residents to participate in social, recreational, and wellness activities
• Facilitate engaging group and one-on-one activities tailored to customer interests and abilities
• Assist with transport and mobility to and from activities (if required)
• Monitor and report any changes in health, wellbeing, or behaviour to clinical staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and care/activity records
• Promote dignity, independence, and respect in all interactions
• Work collaboratively with the care team, families, and allied health professionals

Key Requirements:

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home & Community) or equivalent qualification
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate
• Manual handling and infection control training
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including with people living with dementia
• Experience providing personal care in aged care, disability, or community settings
• Ability to plan, deliver, and adapt activities to support physical, social, and emotional wellbeing
• Compassion, patience, and cultural sensitivity
• Previous Activities Assistant or Lifestyle Assistant experience (desired)
