Mechanical Service Technician

As a Mechanical Service Technician based at our advanced automated picking solutions site in Moorebank, Sydney, you will play a critical role in keeping high‑performance material handling systems operating at peak efficiency. Working on a rotating 24/7 roster, you’ll be part of a rapidly growing team using market‑leading automation technology in a permanent, full‑time role.

Your Impact

Maintain, install, and repair automated material handling systems to ensure high availability and safetyDiagnose and resolve mechanical and system faults to minimise downtimeRespond to reactive service calls and proactively address issues during your shiftAnalyse system performance data and implement continuous improvement initiativesMaintain accurate maintenance, repair, and performance records and prepare reports for stakeholdersSupport and mentor junior technicians, sharing technical knowledge and best practicesCollaborate closely with the Service team to deliver high‑quality, customer‑focused outcomes

What makes you a great fit?

Qualification (degree, diploma, or certificate) in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical fieldExperience working with automated or industrial systems in a maintenance or service environmentA methodical, structured approach to troubleshooting and maintenance activitiesStrong written and verbal communication skills with both technical teams and stakeholdersWillingness and flexibility to work rotating 12‑hour day and night shifts

Desirable

Familiarity with WCS, SCADA, PLCs, and industrial networks
