Brand Operations Manager - VIC

About the role

Preference Floors is seeking an experienced and hands-on Branch Operations Manager to join our Victorian operation in Dandenong South. This is a broad operational management role designed to bring together the three key areas of our Victorian business — Office, Sales and Warehouse. The primary objective of the role is to ensure these departments communicate effectively, work together efficiently and provide a high level of service to our customers. You will need to understand day-to-day operations, identify issues early, coordinate people and priorities, and help create a smooth workflow across the entire branch.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operation of the Victorian branch
• Work closely with the office, sales and warehouse teams to ensure smooth communication and workflow
• Coordinate priorities between customer orders, sales requirements, stock availability, warehouse preparation and deliveries
• Support and guide office staff with daily administration and customer service matters
• Work closely with the sales team to follow up customer requirements, pricing, orders and operational issues
• Coordinate with warehouse staff regarding picking, dispatch, deliveries, stock movements and customer collections
• Identify operational problems and work with the relevant team members to resolve them efficiently
• Improve communication and cooperation between departments
• Assist with staff planning, workload allocation and day-to-day operational decisions
• Monitor procedures and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and customer service

About you

• An experienced operations, branch, office or business manager with strong people-management skills
• A confident communicator who can work effectively with office staff, sales representatives, warehouse employees, customers and senior management
• Organised and capable of managing multiple priorities at the same time
• Practical and willing to become involved in day-to-day issues rather than managing only from behind a desk
• Able to identify problems, make sensible decisions and follow matters through to completion
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving wholesale/distribution environment
• Commercially minded with a strong focus on customer service and operational efficiency
• Able to build good working relationships between different personalities and departments
• Confident using business systems, email and Microsoft Office
• Previous experience in flooring, building products, construction materials, wholesale distribution or a similar industry would be highly regarded
