The Role

As Venue Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the successful operation and performance of the venue.

You'll be a highly visible, hands-on leader who sets the standard across service, culture and operations. Working closely with your team and senior leadership, you'll be responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience while driving strong commercial and operational results.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading all aspects of day-to-day venue operations

• Recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching and developing a high-performing team

• Building a positive, accountable and high-performance workplace culture

• Delivering consistently exceptional customer service and guest experiences

• Driving revenue through live entertainment, events, promotions and community engagement

• Managing labour budgets, rostering and wage performance

• Monitoring budgets, P&L performance and key business metrics

• Managing stock ordering, inventory control, stocktake and cost of goods

• Maintaining high standards of food safety, liquor licensing and workplace compliance

• Working collaboratively with senior leadership to identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement

• Taking a visible, hands-on leadership role during peak trading periods

• Establishing and maintaining operational systems and standards from venue opening onwards

About You

You're an experienced hospitality professional with a proven track record of leading high-volume venues and developing strong, engaged teams.

You understand that successful venues are built on exceptional people, outstanding customer service, commercial discipline and attention to detail.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Venue Manager

• Experience operating a high volume late night venue

• Strong food and beverage operational experience

• Proven experience recruiting, leading and developing high-performing teams

• Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and P&L management

• Demonstrated experience managing labour costs, stock control and overall venue profitability

• Experience coordinating live entertainment, events and promotions

• Excellent communication, leadership and people-management skills

• A current RMLV and Approved Manager's Licence

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

• A genuine passion for hospitality, live entertainment and delivering memorable guest experiences
