BTQ is seeking a Cryptographer/Quantum Computer Scientist (Mathematician) to research and develop quantum cryptography and post-quantum security technologies.
Full time: 38 hours per week Location: BTQ AU, 477 Pitt St. Haymarket, NSW 2000. Salary: Competitive compensation package + Superannuation
Key Duties and Responsibilities Conducting advanced mathematical research and developing mathematical models to support post-quantum cryptographic systems and quantum-secure communication technologies. Analysing the mathematical security of quantum and classical cryptographic protocols, including assessing cryptographic schemes against classical and quantum attack models.
Designing, developing and evaluating quantum algorithms, cryptographic algorithms and post-quantum secure communication protocols using advanced mathematical, computational and algebraic techniques. Applying mathematical principles to solve complex problems in quantum cryptography, secure communications and information security. Undertaking mathematical modelling, computational analysis and performance evaluation to improve the security, efficiency and resilience of cryptographic systems.
Preparing technical reports, research papers and detailed documentation, and presenting research findings to BTQ Australia's research team and the broader BTQ Technologies technical group. Collaborating with multidisciplinary research teams to support the development and commercialisation of innovative quantum and post-quantum security technologies. Requirements
PhD in closely related field At least 1 year academic/industry research experience Proven track record of research excellence (peer-reviewed publications, patents)
