Heavy Vehicle/Plant Mechanic

About the role

We are seeking highly skilled Heavy Vehicle/Plant Mechanic's to join our team at Henry Plant and Equipment Hire Pty Ltd in Lithgow, NSW. As a full-time Heavy Vehicle/Plant Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our diverse fleet of heavy vehicles and plant equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a well-established and reputable company in the Trades & Services industry.

What you'll be doing

1. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults on a variety of heavy vehicles and plant equipment

2. Performing routine maintenance and servicing on our fleet, including scheduled inspections, oil changes, and component replacements

3. Maintaining detailed records of all work carried out and parts used

4. Collaborating with the wider team to ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of our equipment

5. Adhering to all relevant safety protocols and regulations

What we're looking for

1. Relevant trade qualification, such as a Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent, Light Vehicle Mechanic Trade is also encouraged to apply

2. Experience as a Heavy Vehicle/Plant or light vehicle Mechanic

1. Proficient in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of heavy vehicles and plant equipment, including excavators, loaders, and earthmoving machinery

1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues

2. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

3. A valid driver's licence with no restrictions and the ability to work in a team environment

4. Australian citizenship is required for this position

5. Willingness to undergo a pre-employment full functioning Medical
