About the role
We are seeking a Casual Kitchen Hand to join our team at Logan House.
This is more than a traditional kitchen role. You'll play an important part in supporting the day-to-day operation of our residential service by helping provide nutritious meals in a safe, welcoming and well-organised environment.
Working closely with the Food Services Coordinator and broader service team, you'll assist with food preparation, kitchen cleaning, stock management, meal service and food safety requirements. You'll also support residents who are involved in kitchen duties as part of developing everyday living skills and building independence.
As a casual team member, you'll help provide coverage across the service as required, making flexibility, reliability and a willingness to work collaboratively important to success in the role.
No two days are exactly the same. One moment you may be assisting with meal preparation or receiving deliveries, and the next you may be completing stock checks, maintaining food safety standards or supporting a positive dining experience for residents.
What Success Looks LikeWe're looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and understands the positive role food can play in health, wellbeing and recovery.
