The Chancery is looking for a People & Culture Advisor who wishes to build on their previous experience while being supported in a caring environment.
The Chancery in Lismore provides support services to the Catholic Diocese of Lismore. The Diocese extends from Tweed Heads in the north to Laurieton in the south.
An opportunity has become available for a People & Culture Advisor to join the Chancery team and deliver contemporary people centred support and advice across our parishes, agencies, health, aged care, early childhood education and community service entities. Supporting our people and leaders, you'll be at the heart of ensuring that as an employer, we are true to Catholic Social Teaching principles as they apply to our workplace.
Responsibilities
This is a generalist position and includes partnering with our parishes, entities and agencies, understanding their needs and providing support and guidance across the employee lifecycle. This includes recruitment, induction, employee relations, WHS, and HR administration and processes.
You'll support the delivery of People & Culture initiatives and projects that help us connect, share and grow.
About You
The successful applicant will ideally possess the following qualifications, skills abilities and experience:
Certificate or degree or studying toward a qualification in Human Resource Management or related discipline.
Experience as a P&C or WHS Administrator, Coordinator, Advisor or Business Partner.
Experience supporting and implementing people initiatives and processes that support positive outcomes.
Understanding of Fair Work requirements, Modern Awards, WHS legislation and contemporary HR and workers compensation/injury management practices.
Strong communication and administration skills.
Ability to travel throughout the Diocese. A driver's licence is a must.
