Sales Assistant

About the role

Benchmark Hub Group Pty Ltd is seeking a Sales Assistant to join our retail team on a part-time to full-time basis. This role is based in Leumeah, NSW 2560 and offers an excellent opportunity to develop your retail career within a dynamic, customer-focused environment. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service and supporting the smooth operation of our tile and kitchen and bathroom showroom. This position is perfect for individuals looking for, part-time work whilst building valuable experience in the bathroom and kitchen design sector.

What you'll be doing

• Providing exceptional customer service by greeting customers, responding to inquiries and assisting with product selections and quotes

• Processing sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and handling cash and card payments

• Maintaining a clean, organised and visually appealing retail environment, including making sure all displays are clean

• Supporting the store team and meeting promotional objectives

• Answering customer questions about product features, pricing and availability

• Following company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines

• Assisting with inventory management and stock rotation as required

• Contributing to a positive team atmosphere and supporting colleagues during busy periods

What we're looking for

• Previous retail or customer service experience is highly desirable

• Someone committed to their work hours and roles (must be able to work on their committed days)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Basic numeracy skills and comfort with point-of-sale systems

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities

• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service

• Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to adapt to changing retail environments
