About the role
About the role
The Yard Gym Newstead is looking for a warm, friendly and reliable Childminder to join the team and look after members' children while they train. The creche is a welcoming space where parents can train knowing their children are being well cared for. This is a morning role for 9:30am sessions, Monday to Friday, with an immediate start, suited to someone who enjoys working with children and wants to keep their afternoons free.
Key responsibilities
Supervising and engaging with members' children
Creating a safe, calm and welcoming environment
Building positive relationships with children and parents
Keeping the creche clean, organised and safe
Providing a warm and professional experience for members
Working as part of the wider Yard Gym team
About you
Warm, friendly and naturally good with children
Reliable and punctual
Responsible and attentive
Professional and well presented
Confident and comfortable caring for children independently
Genuinely enjoys interacting with children
Holds a current Blue Card — essential
Has previous experience working with or caring for children
Previous experience in childcare, childminding, babysitting, education or a similar role will be highly regarded
