About the role
Location: Cronulla, NSW Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Blackwood Cronulla is a busy, much-loved local cafe known for great coffee, quality food, and a genuinely welcoming vibe. We're on the lookout for a Cafe Supervisor to help lead our floor team and keep service running smoothly during our busiest periods.
As Cafe Supervisor, you'll be a key part of our leadership team, working the floor day-to-day while supporting the smooth running of the business. You'll set the tone for the team with a positive, can-do attitude and help make sure every guest has a great experience.
Working the floor during service, leading by example with hands-on hospitality
Supervising and supporting staff during busy shifts, keeping the team motivated and on track
Assisting with day-to-day operations — rostering support, stock checks, opening/closing procedures
Training and mentoring new and existing team members
Handling customer queries and resolving issues quickly and professionally
Maintaining high standards of service, presentation, and cleanliness
Stepping in wherever needed: coffee, floor, or jucie support to keep service flowing
Helping foster a positive, high-energy culture within the team
Proven experience in a hospitality environment
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
A genuine can-do attitude; someone who rolls up their sleeves and gets stuck in
Strong communication and people skills
Ability to stay calm, organised, and solutions-focused under pressure
A positive, natural leader who brings energy to the team
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and peak trade periods
Solid barista skills highly regarded
Supportive, fun team environment
