Carpenter

Location: CROWS NEST, NSW

Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position

• Read and interpret plans, specifications and measurements for residential and commercial projects
• Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber and other building materials
• Construct and install frames, flooring, walls, roofing components, doors, windows, fixtures and fittings
• Complete carpentry work for new builds, renovations, refurbishments and property maintenance projects
• Repair or replace damaged structures, fittings and building components
• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, stability, quality and compliance with project requirements
• Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to complete work safely and within project timeframes
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas and comply with workplace safety procedures

Skills and Experience Required To be considered for this role, you must have:

• At least 12 months of relevant experience in a similar role
• Relevant formal training, or carpentry experience in lieu
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Practical experience in residential or commercial construction, renovation, refurbishment or building maintenance
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, construction materials, fixings and building methods
