Ute /Truck driver

About the role

MJS Transport Solutions is seeking a reliable and experienced Ute/MR Truck Driver to join our team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled driver looking for flexible work in the transport and logistics industry. Based in Mackay, QLD 4740, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to various mine sites, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the highest standards of customer service. This role is crucial to our operations, as you will be the face of MJS Transport Solutions to our valued clients.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate ute and/or truck vehicles in accordance with all relevant road laws and safety regulations

• Transport goods and materials to designated locations in a timely and professional manner

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working condition

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries

• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays

• Handle and secure cargo appropriately to prevent damage during transport

• Maintain a clean and well-organised vehicle at all times

• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety protocols

• Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents promptly to management

What we're looking for

• Current, valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle type (C, LR, MR or HR as applicable)

• Ability to work independently whilst maintaining professional communication with team members and customers

• Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to manage time effectively
