Workshop Manager and Light Vehicle Mechanic

About the role

Small but efficient workshop with a good crew and plenty of work. We are expanding operations at Yarrabilba and have two key opportunities available: Workshop Site Manager (Yarrabilba) to lead the team, keep the workshop running smoothly, and drive quality standards; and Fully Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanics (Yarrabilba & Floating Role) in hands-on positions based at Yarrabilba or taking on a floating role.

Key responsibilities

For Mechanics:

• Day-to-day servicing, mechanical repairs, and maintenance on a mix of light vehicles

• Safety checks and making sure jobs are done right the first time

• Keeping your bay clean and safe

• Basic paperwork—completing job cards and keeping records straight

For Site Manager:

• Overseeing daily workshop operations, scheduling jobs, and managing workflow

• Leading and supporting the mechanics on the floor

• Ensuring customer satisfaction, quality control, and safety compliance

About you

• Trade Qualified: Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent trade qual)

• Experience: Time served in a workshop

• Must have your own tools for mechanic roles (specialty gear on site when needed)

• Current QLD Driver's Licence (or equivalent so you can legally drive in QLD)

• Reliable, turn up on time, and happy working solo or leading/pulling together with the team

• Management or leadership experience (preferred for the Site Manager role)

• Strong diagnostic skills and a sharp eye for picking up tricky faults
