About the role
ABORIGINAL SUPPORT WORKER – NANNUP THERAPEUTIC COMMUNITY
About the Role:
The Aboriginal Support Worker will provide yarning, mentoring, interactive therapeutic activities, education, mediation, and support to residents in a residential setting. They will also develop relationships with Aboriginal communities in the Great Southern and South-West regions. They will promote Cyrenian services and develop Elder groups who can advise and support the programs offered by Cyrenian House.
The position is offered as a full-time role working 76 hours per fortnight and is located at our Nannup TC in the Southwest, surrounded by natural bushland.
Cyrenian House considers that being Aboriginal or a Torres Strait Islander is a genuine occupational requirement for this position under section 50d of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA).
Level 4/5 $96,295-$113,725 per annum plus superannuation and salary sacrifice.
