About the role
The Inglewood Inn is looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team in a well-established, food-led venue in the Adelaide Hills. Located just 15 minutes from Modbury and 5 minutes from Tea Tree Gully, this is a casual position offering 20+ hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours depending on trade. Our venue operates Wednesday to Sunday, with a mix of restaurant service, weddings and functions. You'll work alongside our Head Chef and kitchen team as part of an experienced, supportive kitchen team. Our menus focus on seasonal produce, South Australian suppliers, and food designed to suit both relaxed dining and special occasions.
Key responsibilities
Running your own section during service
Preparing and executing dishes to a consistently high standard
Working across both à la carte restaurant and function service
Completing daily prep and maintaining an organised section
Working closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef and wider kitchen team
Assisting and supporting junior chefs and apprentices
Maintaining food safety, cleanliness and kitchen standards
About you
Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or an experienced qualified chef ready to step into the role
Confident running a section independently
Strong preparation, organisation and time-management skills
Experience in a busy à la carte kitchen
Function and wedding experience is highly regarded
Reliable and comfortable working as part of a close-knit team
Available across Wednesday–Sunday roster, including evenings and weekends
Own reliable transport is highly recommended due to venue location
Existing Australian working rights required
