About the role
MJH Group is seeking to appoint an accomplished Chief Operating Officer to lead operational performance across its NSW and ACT business, encompassing the McDonald Jones Homes and MOJO Homes brands.
Reporting directly to the NSW and ACT CEO, this is a critical executive appointment within a substantial residential building operation delivering approximately 1,500 homes annually.
The COO will provide the operational structure, analysis and discipline required to support the continued performance and growth of the business. Central to the position will be improving end-to-end scheduling and programming, identifying operational bottlenecks and ensuring regional leaders are accountable for delivering against agreed customer, construction and financial outcomes.
Working closely with the CEO, CFO and regional General Managers, the successful executive will use operational and financial data to identify trends, forecast emerging issues and translate insights into practical action. They will help remove roadblocks, improve productivity and create greater consistency across the customer and construction journey.
This is not a role for an overly controlling or hierarchical executive. MJH Group is seeking a collaborative, humble and highly capable leader who can create healthy tension, ask the right questions and positively challenge the organisation. They must be decisive and accountable while building trust and maintaining strong relationships across the leadership team.
The ideal candidate will bring:
The position is based in New South Wales, although a national search is being undertaken and relocation support is available.
A strong salary commensurate with your 15+ years of experience will be on offer, plus superannuation and an anticipated short-term incentive of approximately 20 per cent.
