About the role

Kern Accountants is seeking a talented Tax Accountant to join our team in Townsville, QLD. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering high-quality tax services to our diverse client base. This role offers the opportunity to develop your expertise in taxation whilst contributing to the success of a growing accounting practice.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, company's, trusts

• Reviewing financial statements and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy

• Staying current with changes to tax legislation and communicating updates to relevant clients

What we're looking for

• Experience in Accounting, Commerce, or related field

• Proficiency with accounting software packages and tax preparation tools including MYOB AE (Accountants Software)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Experience in a tax or accounting role within a professional firm is highly desirable

• Strong organisational and time management skills
