Details: About the opportunity
CIT is seeking a skilled and motivated industry professional to lead the stakeholder engagement and relationship management function in the Cyber Security TAFE Centre of Excellence (CS TCoE) to strengthen Australia’s cyber capability and workforce.
The Cyber Security TCoE is one of two flagship Centres of Excellence hosted by CIT under the National Skills Agreement, alongside the Electric Vehicle TCoE. These Centres are jointly funded by the Commonwealth and ACT Governments and are central to national workforce development in clean transport and digital security.
What we’re looking for
To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate a strong background in stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and project coordination within the cyber security, education, or related technology sectors. Experience working with diverse partners, including industry, government, TAFEs and universities is essential.
Key attributes include excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, enabling the individual to effectively liaise with a wide range of stakeholders and promote collaboration. Strong organisational and project management abilities are necessary to manage multiple projects, record, track, and report engagement activities, ensuring alignment with project milestones and deliverables.
A proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused mindset, combined with a passion for workforce development and digital security, will enable the candidate to excel in this dynamic and impactful role.

Note: This is a temporary position available from 27 September 2026 to 29 December 2028, with the possibility of permanency.
An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
Temporary employment offered as a result of this advertisement may lead to permanency/promotion as per the Public Sector Management Standards, Section 14 – Direct appointment of employee – general, and Section 20 – Direct promotion - general and CIT Enterprise Agreements.
