About the role

Gardner Bearings Pty Ltd is seeking a Storeperson to join our team in Cavan, SA. This is a full-time position based on-site at our location. As Storeperson, you will play a vital role in maintaining the efficient operation of our store and warehouse facilities. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, organising and dispatching products, ensuring that our inventory is well-managed and readily accessible to support our retail operations and customer service objectives. This position is integral to the smooth running of our business and directly impacts our ability to serve our customers effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Receiving and unpacking incoming goods, verifying orders against delivery documentation and reporting any discrepancies

• Organising and storing products in designated areas, ensuring proper stock rotation and adherence to storage guidelines

• Maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting regular stock checks to ensure system accuracy

• Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently, preparing items for dispatch

• Operating forklift safely and competently

• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse and storage environment in accordance with health and safety regulations

• Assisting with stock takes and inventory audits as required

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a storeperson is desirable but not essential

• Experience operating a forklift, with relevant certifications preferred

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively

• Attention to detail and accuracy when recording inventory and processing orders

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory management systems is advantageous
