INTERNAL ACCOUNTANT – FULL-TIME

About the role

This is a genuinely hands-on internal accounting position. Your primary responsibility will be to take ownership of the internal accounting, accounts payable, BAS, payroll and associated financial administration of the business. You will work closely with management and staff, maintaining high standards of compliance and taking ownership of your work.

Key responsibilities

• Full management of accounts payable

• BAS preparation and lodgement for two companies

• Managing both cash-basis and accrual accounting

• Inter-company accounting and reconciliation

• Weekly payroll processing

• Wednesday payroll preparation and Thursday wage payments through CBA CommBiz

• Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations

• Maintaining the asset register

• Maintaining finance and insurance commitment schedules

• Fuel Tax Credit calculations and administration

About you

• Diploma or degree in accounting with strong technical skills

• Solid experience with Xero

• Solid experience with Excel

• Solid experience with BAS preparation and lodgement

• Solid experience with GST

• Solid experience with accounts payable

• Solid experience with payroll

• Solid experience with bank reconciliations

• Solid experience with inter-company accounting

• Technically strong, accurate and organised
