Accounts Assistant (12-Month Maternity Leave Contract)

The Role

We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team on a full-time 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. This is an excellent role for someone who enjoys variety, works well under pressure, and wants to be part of a supportive and growing business.  While this position is being offered as a maternity leave contract, there may be an opportunity for the role to be extended or transition into a longer-term position depending on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing invoices and payments in multiple currencies

• Matching invoices to purchase orders and ensuring correct authorisations

• Uploading payments and issuing remittance advices

• Reconciling credit card receipts

• Assisting with general ad hoc finance tasks as required

• Supporting the Accounts Officers and wider finance team with administrative and reporting tasks

About You

You are proactive, detail-oriented, and thrive in a busy environment. You take pride in accuracy and efficiency, and you’re able to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. You’ll also bring:

• Previous experience in accounts or finance support roles (Accounts Payable experience highly regarded)

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Solid Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP)

• Understanding of accounting processes and reconciliations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet

• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to help across different areas

• Experience with Business Central or other ERP systems (advantageous but not essential)
