We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter with strong general maintenance and vital repairs on a wide range of parts, plant and infrastructure within the FMCG industry for our privately owned mondern manufacturing site in the Northern Suburbs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and vital repairs on a wide variety of parts, plant, infrastructure and manufacturing machinery.
• Executing rapid-respone breakdown trouble shooting to minimize production down time and fault finding activities
• Conducting scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure longevity and reliability of site equipment.
• Carrying out routine and unplanned mechanical tasks as they arise in the production area.
• Assisting with general ad-hoc facility and equipment tasks to further support the broader operations team.
• To adhere to all safe hygiene practices in place whilst working in the manufacturing area

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4 years' experience as a Mechanical Fitter (essential) - ideally in FMCG
• Relevant  Australian trade qualification (essential)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving ability
• Basic stainless steel welding skills (advantage)
• Basic Machining skills (advantage)
• Strong commitment to safety
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently
