Carpenter / Handyman — Subcontractor | Darwin NT

About the role

Australian Maintenance Company is looking for a reliable carpenter or all-round handyman to take on ongoing subcontract maintenance work across Darwin and the northern suburbs. You will work off scheduled work orders with clear scopes on residential and commercial properties, with a consistent, repeating pipeline of work through established relationships with real estate agencies and government organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Residential maintenance for managed rental properties: repairs, make-goods, vacate works, doors, locks, cabinetry, screens, decking, minor carpentry

• Commercial and strata maintenance: reactive callouts, common-area repairs, building fabric works

• General handyman tasks alongside the carpentry: patching, painting, fixings, hardware, general make-safe

• Work off scheduled work orders with clear scopes

• Deal directly with tenants, agents and site contacts

• Receive work orders and return photos and job notes digitally via smartphone

About you

• Trade-qualified carpenter (Cert III) or demonstrable all-round handyman experience with strong finishing standards

• Own tools and own reliable vehicle (ute or van)

• Active ABN, own public liability insurance, and workers compensation / personal accident cover

• Construction Induction (White Card)

• Current NT driver's licence

• Clean, presentable, and comfortable dealing directly with tenants, agents and site contacts

• Smartphone literate

• Right to work in Australia and based in the Darwin region
