HIRING | SECURITY PLATFORM ENGINEER – GOOGLE SECOPS & BINDPLANE
Location - Sydney.Exp- 7+ Years.
We’re looking for a hands-on Security Platform Engineer to operate, enhance and scale security telemetry and analytics platforms, with strong expertise in Google SecOps (SIEM/SOAR) and BindPlane.
🔹 What You’ll Work On🔐 Google SecOps SIEM & SOAR• Configure, administer and maintain Google SecOps environments• Platform health, performance, availability & capacity• Troubleshoot integrations, access and ingestion issues• Support detection enablement and security operations
📡 Telemetry Ingestion & BindPlane• Manage BindPlane collectors, agents & ingestion pipelines• Ingest logs/telemetry from cloud, infrastructure, applications & security tools• Build and maintain parsing, normalization, enrichment & routing pipelines• Route telemetry into Google SecOps, Big Query & downstream platforms• Monitor pipeline health, throughput, latency and data quality
⚙️ Automation & Engineering• Support CI/CD-based platform and pipeline deployments• Read/modify Python & Terraform for fixes and enhancements• Automate platform management, validation and deployment processes
🚨 Incident & Operational Support• Support SOC and Incident Response teams during investigations• Troubleshoot telemetry and platform issues• Collaborate with Cloud, DevOps, Infrastructure & Security Engineering teams
🔹 What We’re Looking For✅ Hands-on experience with Google SecOps SIEM/SOAR✅ Strong experience with BindPlane or similar telemetry ingestion platforms✅ Strong understanding of logs, schemas, parsing, enrichment & data routing✅ Experience with GCP / AWS / Azure environments✅ Strong troubleshooting skills across data ingestion pipelines✅ Ability to work with Python & Terraform✅ CI/CD & automated deployment experience✅ Strong security operations / incident support experience
⭐ Nice to Have: Big Query, Detection Engineering, SOC/Security Engineering background and relevant Google Cloud/Security certifications.
