Full-Time Career Opportunity
Attractive weekly salary ranging from $1,478.95 up to $1,700.40 (dependent on level of licence and experience)

The Opportunity
Step into a critical hands-on role keeping our community water systems flowing safely. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of plumbing systems across the Moree Plains region. You will construct, repair, and maintain Council water and sewer reticulation systems, ensuring all work complies with relevant plumbing codes and regulatory requirements.
Your daily responsibilities will include maintaining and repairing Council water, sewer, and waste pumps, as well as undertaking plumbing maintenance for Council owned facilities and buildings. You will also play a key leadership role by providing supervision and on-the-job training to Apprentice Plumbers.

About You
You are a collaborative team player with a strong commitment to workplace health and safety and safe work practices. You are highly professional, respectful, and willing to actively support, mentor, and train Apprentice Plumbers.
To succeed in this role, you will bring
A Certificate IV in Plumbing.
The ability to meet deadlines, work under conflicting time pressures, and provide clear instruction to junior staff.
A current Class C Drivers Licence and a General Construction Induction White Card.
The ability to work after hours when directed, including being on-call when requested.
A successful pre-employment medical and evidence of up-to-date immunisations for Tetanus and Hepatitis A and B.
Desirable criteria include previous Local Government experience, Confined Spaces Certificate, and Fluoridation Certification.
