About the role
About us
Since 2011, Clark St Coffee Roasters has built a genuine reputation for coffee excellence, service and sustainability — supplying wholesale partners across Melbourne, regional Victoria and nationally. We're proudly independent, growing fast, and looking for an experienced Wholesale Account Manager to help lead that next chapter. Our name is built on quality, transparency and direct relationships with the farmers who grow our coffee — values our team carries forward every day.
About the role
This is a hands-on sales and account management role covering the full wholesale customer journey — from new business through to long-term retention and growth. Working with a team of passionate coffee professionals, and reporting to the Founder, you'll manage our wholesale sales pipeline and account plans, customer training and education, events and activations, equipment and service standards, and reporting, while representing Clark St's sustainability story to our cafe partners.
Key responsibilities
Drive wholesale sales activity and the new business pipeline, from prospecting through to close, working within budgets set with the team
Build and maintain an account plan for every top-tier customer, covering range, retention, revenue and risk
Lead onboarding for new wholesale accounts and ongoing account management for the existing portfolio
Run Clark St's coffee training and education program across wholesale customers
Own delivery, reorder and equipment servicing schedules in partnership with the production team, resolving issues quickly and personally
Coordinate events, activations and sampling that build brand loyalty and open new accounts
Collaborate with wholesale customers on social content, working with the marketing team to keep it on-brand
Deliver regular sales and customer reporting, and contribute to Clark St's broader growth strategy and new market entry
Represent Clark St's sustainability story and direct farmer relationships credibly with every partner
About you
Solid wholesale/B2B sales and account management experience — specialty coffee or a related hospitality/FMCG channel highly regarded
Proven record of growing and retaining a portfolio of accounts against real targets
Strong negotiator and relationship-builder, credible with decision-makers at all levels
Commercially astute, comfortable using sales data to prioritise and build a case
Self-starter who can work towards targets with limited supervision
Genuine depth of coffee knowledge and curiosity, and confidence training others in it
Current driver's licence and Australian work authorisation
The successful candidate will have use of a fully maintained company vehicle, mobile phone and laptop.
If you are a coffee professional who wants to grow your career within a small dynamic team, we would love to hear from you.
