Duty Manager - RQ Tavern

About the role

The Duty Manager - RQ Tavern role is a full-time position based in Robina, Queensland. As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operations and management of the RQ Tavern, a key part of the McGuire Hotels' hospitality portfolio. This strategic role will see you overseeing all aspects of the tavern's daily operations to ensure an exceptional experience for our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and coordinating the work of front-of-house and back-of-house teams to deliver outstanding customer service

• Overseeing the opening and closing procedures of the tavern

• Monitoring stock levels and placing orders to maintain appropriate inventory

• Handling customer queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant liquor licensing, health and safety regulations

• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing operational efficiencies

• Providing leadership, training and development to the tavern team

What we're looking for

• Significant experience (3+ years) in a supervisory or duty manager role within the hospitality industry

• Excellent customer service orientation and interpersonal skills

• Strong operational and problem-solving abilities

• Solid understanding of liquor licensing, food safety and workplace health and safety regulations

• Proven leadership and people management skills

• Flexible and adaptable approach to working in a fast-paced environment

• Relevant hospitality qualifications or certifications
