Strata Manager/Assistant

Link is a staff focussed, Strata Management company that has been in operation for over 23 years and we are seeking a person with relevant experience to join our professional, supportive and friendly team.

Role

This role may suit a person who has worked in property management or in the banking sector with experience in an administration/managerial role. The successful candidate will be able to multi-task, possess strong administration skills, have the ability to communicate with people on all levels both written and verbal. Experience in Microsoft Office applications and a willingness to learn the StrataMax software is essential. The person we are looking for is well presented with a 'can do' attitude.

To be successful in the role you will be interested in developing/furthering your career in Strata Management with a strong emphasis on establishing a trusting and communicative relationship with clients and colleagues alike. A knowledge of the relevant legislation and basic Strata practices will be a distinct advantage and highly regarded. You will possess the confidence to facilitate meetings, be able to manage a range of repairs & maintenance issues in a timely manner and manage budgets for your complexes.

Extensive on-the-job training and in-house training is provided and external training is encouraged.

This position is to initially fill in for a manager going on maternity leave and once you have gained the appropriate level of experience and the strata manager has returned to work we will build your own portfolio of clients around you.

Staff Wellbeing

Management understands that Strata Management can be a stressful career and actively works to ensure that staff are properly trained, supported and their portfolio is of a size to ensure clients are appropriately serviced. Simply put, you have time to do your job properly. Portfolio sizes are well below the industry norm.

Experience.

Previous experience as an assistant strata manager or experience in the property sector is desirable, but not essential. Life experience and the ability to deal with a range of people and the ability to prioritise tasks is a must. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a stable employment record. Three to four years with one organisation would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities.

• Managing Residential and Commercial Strata properties

• Preparing budgets, collating agendas & preparing meeting minutes

• Attending meetings

• Ability to handle multiple tasks

• Able to manage and develop positive client relationships

• Coordinate maintenance issues

You are required to hold a current drivers licence and have a reliable vehicle.

Some evening work is required. Most of our meetings are via Zoom, so many meetings can be done from home.

This role presents an excellent opportunity to work with fewer properties to manage than the industry norm.
