About the role
This role is based in our Non-Family Based Care (NFBC) Team where you will directly provide care, support, supervision and guidance to children and young people who have been placed in our 24/7 residential or Supported Independent Living Service under statutory orders.
You will maintain living arrangements that are stable, safe, nurturing, trauma informed, affirming of culture, connected to community and provide age and stage appropriate risk assessed recreational / educative / skill building activities and development opportunities.
You will help each person navigate their journey ‘into, through and out of’ placement, ensuring their voice is central while encouraging self-regulation, positive group interactions and respectful negotiations. You will fulfil shift duties, complete administrative tasks, undertake practical household jobs, and assist children and young people to achieve Support Plan goals.
